BIC Outdoor Ventilation Grilles – Protection, Design & Performance

BIC outdoor ventilation grilles are designed to ensure reliable and efficient protection of air intake and exhaust openings from rain, leaves, birds, and other external elements.

These grilles are mounted on building façades and are suitable for both mechanical and natural ventilation systems – allowing air to flow in or out as needed.

Depending on environmental conditions and design preferences, the grilles can be manufactured using a variety of materials:

• Galvanised steel (standard)

• Aluminium – lightweight and corrosion-resistant

• Stainless steel – durable and visually appealing

• Acid-resistant stainless steel – ideal for aggressive environments

While rectangular grilles are offered as standard, we also produce custom shapes on request:

• Round, triangular, corner-mounted grilles

• Detachable, welded or special form grilles tailored to your project

✓ Install grilles preferably on the north-facing wall to reduce heat gain during sunny summer days ✓ The grille’s cross-section should allow airflow speeds below 2 m/s for optimal noise and efficiency control ✓ Ensure sufficient distance between intake and exhaust grilles to prevent air recirculation

The standard rectangular outdoor grille is made from 275 g/m² galvanised DX51D sheet steel and consists of three integrated components:

• Mounting frame – for secure and easy installation

• Protective mesh – prevents debris and insects

• Fixed louvre section – optimised for airflow direction

Grilles can be powder-coated in any RAL colour upon request to match the building’s design and architectural vision.
